The Pacific Locksmith Association is a volunteer organization formed to promote professional growth within the security professional trade. We believe the “key” to this professionalism is educating locksmiths in technical and business skills. Through these educational opportunities we are able to advance ourselves as professionals. EducationEducation is the most important benefit of becoming a member of the Pacific Locksmith Association. Throughout the year we hold regular educational sessions, both at our monthly meetings and at quarterly, full day classes. In many cases members receive discounts on class costs that more than match annual dues. NetworkingOne very important benefit of belonging to the association is the ability to network with other locksmiths. With the pressures of meeting our customer’s needs and other time consuming tasks associated with daily life sometimes we are not able to meet with fellow locksmiths on a regular basis.. At our functions a very important aspect is the time spent with others who are dealing with the same issues as you.. There are almost always other locksmiths who have faced the same problem you have and have found a solution and will gladly help you. It is also difficult to be competent in every aspect of our trade so having a list of people to call for advise is invaluable. Meetings Legislative Efforts In 2010 The state of Oregon enacted a new law pertaining to locksmiths. Information about this law can be obtained at http://www.oregon.gov/CCB/locksmith.shtml
